Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Object Number: 64993  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from EVAP vent valve (6).
  4. Remove Purge hose (2) and the hose to the fuel tank (7).

  5. Object Number: 420625  Size: SH
  6. Remove the screw from the mounting bracket and canister.

  7. Object Number: 420626  Size: SH
  8. Remove canister from the vehicle

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 420626  Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP canister tabs onto the mounting bracket.

  2. Object Number: 420625  Size: SH
  3. Install the EVAP canister bracket screw.

  4. Object Number: 64993  Size: SH
  5. Install the hose to fuel tank (7) and purge hose (2)
  6. Reconnect electrical connector to EVAP vent valve (6).
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
