  1. Remove the audio alarm module from the convenience center.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Place the headlamps switch in the HEAD or PARK position.
  4. Adjust the dimmer switch to maximum brightness.
  5. Connect a J 39200 from cavity K4 of the convenience center to ground.

Is battery voltage present?

Connect a J 39200 from cavity J1 of the convenience center to ground.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) between the convenience center and the IP fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the audio alarm module.

  1. Locate and repair the short to voltage in CKT 8 (GRY) between the IP fuse block and the convenience center. Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring.
  2. If a short to voltage is not found, refer to Interior Lights Dimming Schematics in lighting, in order to locate the open circuit.

  1. Disconnect C304 and C305 in center console.
  2. Turn park lamps on and open driver door.
  3. Connect a digital multi-meter from C305 cavity G2 to ground.

Is there battery voltage?

--

  1. Open the left front door.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between C304 cavity F9 and ground.

Does continuity exist?

--

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair open in CKT 9 (BRN) between the headlamp and panel dimmer switch and C305. Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect C1 from body control module (BCM).
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between C305 cavity C3 and cavity D15 of BCM C1.

Does continuity exist?

Locate and repair open in CKT 9 (BRN) between C305 and body control module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a J 39200 DMM from C304 cavity F9 and cavity D11 of BCM C1.

Does continuity exist?

Locate and repair open in CKT 159 (TAN) between C304 and the BCM.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in body control systems.

Connect a J 39200 DMM from C304 cavity F9 to cavity C of the door jamb switch.

Is there continuity?

Locate and repair open in CKT 159 (TAN) between the door jamb switch and C304. Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a J 39200 DMM from cavity B of the door jamb switch to ground.

Is there continuity?

Go to Step 13

Replace LF door jamb switch. Refer to Door Jamb Switch Replacement in doors.

Locate and repair open in CKT 150 (BLK) between door jamb switch and ground. Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring.
