DEFINITION: This diagnostic procedure should only be used if the horn operates with the horn switch and is inoperative with a remote keyless panic transmission.

Did you perform the Remote Keyless Entry System Check?

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

1. Connect a test lamp between connector C304 cavity E8 and B+.
2. Press the panic button on the entry transmitter.

Did the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in CKT 28 (BLK) between C304 and S293. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

1. Inspect for an open in CKT 28 (BLK) between C304 and the Body Control Module (BCM). repair as necessary, refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
2. If no open was found, replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
