Shock Sensor Inoperative Luxury

  1. Enter the body control module (BCM) diagnostic mode. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Displaying
  2. Access the theft deterrent shock sensor.
  3. Tap the shock sensor.

Did the chime sound twice and the horn sound once when the sensor was tapped?

Adjust the shock sensor. Refer to Feature Customization .

Is the adjustment complete?

--

System OK

  1. Exit the BCM diagnostic mode.
  2. Set the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  3. Disconnect the harness connector from the shock sensor.
  4. Connect a test light between terminal A and terminal C on the harness connector.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 7

Connect a test lamp between terminal C and B+.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair the open in CKT 149 (DK BLU/WHT) between IP FUSE BLOCK and the shock sensor terminal A.

System OK

Locate and repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between ground G200 and the shock sensor terminal B.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Connect a jumper between the harness connector terminal A and the shock sensor terminal A.
  2. Connect a jumper between the harness connector terminal C and the shock sensor terminal C.
  3. Connect a DMM between B+ and the shock sensor terminal D.
  4. Tap the shock sensor with your index finger.

Was voltage present when you tapped the shock sensor?

A replacement sensor is not available. Remove the shock sensor. Refer to Shock Sensor Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Keep the jumpers connected.
  2. Connect a DMM between B+ and terminal B.
  3. Tap the shock sensor with your index finger.

Was voltage present when you tapped the shock sensor?

  1. Remove the jumpers.
  2. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  3. Connect a jumper between terminal D2 and terminal D of the shock sensor. Do the same between terminal D14 on the BCM connector C1 and terminal B of the shock sensor.
  4. Using a DMM, test for continuity between the terminals.

Is there continuity in both circuits?

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 263 (LT BLU) or CKT 1828 (LT (GRN), whichever is applicable, between the BCM and the theft deterrent shock sensor.
