For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. The rear defogger bus bar lead wire or terminal can be reattached by soldering. Use a solder containing 3 percent silver and a rosin flux paste.
  2. Before soldering the bus bar, the repair area should be buffed with fine steel wool.
  3. This removes the oxide coating formed during the glass manufacture.

  4. Apply the paste-type rosin flux in small quantities to the wire lead and bus bar repair area using a brush.
  5. The soldering iron tip should be coated with solder beforehand. Use only enough solder to ensure a complete repair.
  6. Do not overheat the wire when resoldering the wire to the bus bar.
