DEFINITION: This diagnostic table should be used to diagnose the Anti-Lockout feature only if the other functions of the door lock system are operating properly.

Does the Key-In Ignition Chime operate?

Go to Step 6

Check for continuity to ground from the BCM on the signal circuit with the ignition key in the ignition lock cylinder.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

  1. Check for an open in signal circuit and ground circuit.
  2. Repair as necessary, Refer to Wiring Repairs .
  3. If no opens are found, replace Key-in Warning Switch.

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement .

Important:: The Key-in Ignition Chime and the Anti-lockout feature use the same signal circuit to operate. So if the chime operates the signal circuit is OK.

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement .
