Inspect the tires for the proper inflation pressure. Refer to Tire Inflation Pressure Specifications in Maintenance and Lubrication.

Is the tire inflation pressure correct?

Inflate the tires to the correct pressure.

  1. Inspect the vehicle trim height. Refer to Trim Height Inspection .
  2. Repair as necessary.

Has the inspection/repair been performed?

Inspect the following suspension components for wear or damage.

    • Springs
    • Torsion Bars
    • Shock Absorbers

Refer to Suspension Strut and Shock Absorber Testing - On Vehicle .

Are any of the components the worn or damaged?

Go to Step 6

Replace all of the worn or damaged components.

    • For replacing front suspension components, refer to one of the following procedures in Front Suspension:
      •  Leaf Springs Replacement
      •  Shock Absorber Replacement
    • For replacing rear suspension components, refer to one of the following procedures in Rear Suspension:
      •  Leaf Spring Replacement
      •  Shock Absorber Replacement
