Two different A/C compressors are used in the 2000-2001
pickup models identified above.
| • | Vehicles built at the Oshawa assembly plant (VIN plant code 1)
after February 8, 2000 will use the Denso A/C compressor (type 10S17). |
| • | Vehicles built at the Ft. Wayne (VIN plant code Z) and
Pontiac East (VIN plant code E) assembly plants will use the Delphi®-Harrison
A/C compressor (type HU6). |
Service Information
The two A/C compressors are not interchangeable. Be sure to have the
correct part number when ordering replacement units.
