Spark Plug Wires Not Operating Properly 4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L

- Inspect the routing of the wires. Improper routing can cause crossfiring.
- Inspect each wire for any signs of

- If the boot needs to be replaced, twist the boot a half turn in
either direction in order to break the seal before pulling on the boot in
order to remove the wire.
- With the engine ON, inspect for any arcing to ground or other
components.
- Connect an ohmmeter to the end of each suspect wire. If the meter
reads over 30,000 ohms, replace the wire.
