Removal Procedure
- Apply the parking brake.
- Remove the master cylinder. Refer to
Master Cylinder Replacement
.
- Drain the master cylinder reservoir.
- Clamp the master cylinder
to a bench vice.
- Using a hammer and a drift punch remove the roll pins securing
the reservoir to the master cylinder. Discard the roll pins.
- Firmly grasp the reservoir.
Pull the reservoir upward in order to disengage the reservoir from the master
cylinder.
Installation Procedure
- Install the master cylinder
reservoir to the master cylinder by pushing the reservoir into the master
cylinder bores. Apply pressure until the master cylinder reservoir
snaps into place.
- Using a hammer and a drift
punch install new roll pins to the master cylinder.
- Bench bleed the master cylinder. Refer to

- Remove the master cylinder from the bench vice.
- Install the master cylinder. Refer to
Master Cylinder Replacement
.
- Release the parking brake.
- Bleed the brakes. Refer to
Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure
in Antilock Brake System.
