  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Connect a scan tool.
  3. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  4. Using the scan took check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs?

  1. Turn the ignigion OFF.
  2. Disconnect the radio.
  3. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  4. Connect a test lamp from terminal 10, CKT 340 (ORN) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect a test lamp from CKT 340 (ORN) cavity 10 to CKT 1850 (BLK) cavity 5 at the radio connector C1 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step  4

Connect a test lamp from CKT 1301 (DK GRN) cavity 9 at the radio connector C1 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step  7

Locate and repair the open in CKT 340 (ORN) between the radio and fuse.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the radio and ground.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  2. Send the radio in for repair.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1301 (DK GRN) between the radio and fuse .

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
