Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Standard Cab

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  2. Remove the jack and tool stowage. Refer to Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement in Body Rear End.
  3. Remove the rear window lower molding. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 348549  Size: SH
  5. Remove the quarter panel trim screws.
  6. Remove the rear screw from the sill trim plate.
  7. Remove the quarter panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 348549  Size: SH
  1. Install the quarter panel.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the panel screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the quarter panel trim screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the rear screw into the sill trim plate.
  6. Install the rear window lower molding. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .
  7. Install the jack and tool stowage. Refer to Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement in Body Rear End.
  8. Install the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .

Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Extended Cab

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear window molding. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 373585  Size: SH
  4. Remove the arm rest screw.

  5. Object Number: 348548  Size: SH
  6. Remove the armrest.
  7. Remove the sill trim plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .

  8. Object Number: 348551  Size: SH
  9. Remove the quarter panel trim screws.
  10. Pull the panel out. Remove the seat belt assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement in Seat Belts.
  11. Remove the quarter panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat belt assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement in Seat Belts.
  2. Install the quarter panel to the vehicle.

  8. Install the arm rest.

  9. Object Number: 373585  Size: SH
  10. Install the arm rest screw.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  12. Install the rear window molding. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .
  13. Install the rear seat. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement in Seats.
  14. Align the panel. Install the seat belt assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement in Seat Belts.
