Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the endgate.

  2. Object Number: 366584  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the handle bolts.
  4. Raise the endgate.

  5. Object Number: 366585  Size: SH
  6. Remove the handle bezel by prying gently on the upper snap-in tabs.

  7. Object Number: 347054  Size: SH
  8. Disengage the linkage rods (1).

  9. Object Number: 388060  Size: SH
  10. Lower and support the endgate.
  11. Remove the cables from the side panel cable retainer bolts.

  12. Object Number: 352940  Size: SH
  13. Remove the bolt holding the latch assembly.

  14. Object Number: 352941  Size: SH
  15. Disengage the linkage rod from the latch assembly.
  16. Remove the latch assembly from the endgate.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 352941  Size: SH
  1. Engage the linkage rod to the latch assembly.
  2. Install the latch assembly to the vehicle.

  3. Object Number: 352940  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the latch assembly bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  6. Connect the cables on each side of the endgate to the side panel cable retainer bolts.

  7. Object Number: 347054  Size: SH
  8. Engage the linkage rods.
  9. Raise the endgate.

  10. Object Number: 366585  Size: SH
  11. Install the endgate handle bezel.

  12. Object Number: 366584  Size: SH
  13. Tighten the handle bolts.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
