The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

SIR light flashes 7 times and stays on after a cluster has been replaced. This could be caused if a 2000 Model Year or later cluster was installed. The 2000 and later clusters are not interchangeable with 1999 clusters.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Install the correct 1999 cluster.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
