Condition
Some owners may comment about a vibration that occurs when the third door is opened.
Cause
The condition may be caused by the door not being located properly at the hinge weld area causing a ramping condition between the latch and the striker.
Correction
Adjust the upper and lower door strikers. Use the following procedure in order to properly align the door to the body.
- Remove the trim cover from the upper striker.
- Loosen the upper striker mounting bolts.
- Loosen the lower striker mounting bolts.
- Adjust the door as necessary.
- Install the trim cover onto the upper striker.
Tighten
Tighten the upper and lower striker mounting bolts to 24 N·m
(18 lb ft).
