Condition
Some customers may comment on a vibration during acceleration from 0-40 km/h (0-25 mph). This vibration may also be referred to as launch shudder. This condition may be more noticeable when the vehicle is carrying cargo or is used for towing.
Cause
An improper rear spring height may cause this condition.
Correction
A new rear leaf spring, with an increased D height, has been developed to correct this condition. Replace both rear leaf springs on affected vehicles with P/N 15746407. Also, replace the rear spring shackles with P/N 15049656. Refer to the Rear Suspension subsection of the Service Manual for replacement procedures.
