Did you perform the Lighting Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

Verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Electrical Intermittents in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

1. Open the LF door.
2. Turn the cargo lamp switch to the on position.

Does the cargo lamp function properly?

Go to Step 4

Go to the appropriate diagnostic chart from the following list: Cargo Lamp Always On , Cargo Lamp Inoperative

1. Turn On the ignition with the engine OFF.
2. With a scan tool, Scan Tool , select IPC, Special Functions, and command the Cargo Lamp On message on and off.

Does the message turn on and off when commanded?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

1. Repair the open in the courtesy lamp feed circuit between the BCM and the body wiring harness junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
2. If no open is found, replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 7

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 7

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
