  1. Disconnect the left power window/door lock switch connector C1 and C2.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the fused RAP relay output circuit and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Use a Digital Multi Meter (DMM) to test the ground circuit of the left power window switch for continuity.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Reconnect connectors C1 and C2 to the power window switch.
  2. Using the J 35616 connector test adapter kit, connect a test lamp between the power window motor feed-LF up and power window motor feed-LF down circuit of the connector.
  3. Operate the power window switch in the up and down direction.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test the power window motor feed-LF up and power window motor feed-LF down circuits for an open or short to ground.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the left power window/door lock switch.

Replace the left power window motor.

Refer to Front Side Door Window Module Replacement .

Locate and repair a loose connection or an open in the left power window switch ground circuit.

Locate and repair a loose connection or an open in the fused RAP relay output circuit.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
