When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

As an annual reminder, GM does not recommend or endorse the addition Of any snow plow equipment on a GMT 800 pickup truck that is not equipped With the Snow Plow Prep Package ( RPO VYU ). The snow plow prep package Includes : an upgraded front torsion bar ( F60), a 145 amp generator ( KG8 ), Provision for roof mounted emergency light ( TRW ), access hole and mounting Location for snow plow controls, etc. Also the the dual zone, automatic climate control A/C system ( RPO CJ2 ) is not available with the snow plow prep package. This option combination has been restricted as the outside air temp sensors on the radiator support may not function properly if the snow plow is raised thereby restricting the air flow to the temperature sensors.

Please note: that restrictions apply to the Availability of this option, such as not available with 2 WD models, no 4.3 L V-6 engines ( LU3 ) and currently not compatible with Crew Cabs with the L18 ( 8.1 L gas engine ) or the LB 7 ( 6.6 Duramax diesel engine ) due to Lack of front axle reserve capacity.
