Models:2001 Chevrolet and GMC C/K Models (Silverado and Sierra 2500 HD and 3500)
with 6.6 L Engine (VIN 1 -- RPO LB7)

The direct fuel injection system on the Duramax 6600 Diesel engine utilizes a high voltage, high current system to operate the injectors. Initial opening of the injector requires 93 volts at approximately 20 amps. Circuit integrity is monitored by the fuel injector control module and is critical for proper injector operation. Repair of the high voltage injector circuit connectors is not advised.

The following connectors should be serviced by replacing the fuel injector control module harness assembly:

    • Fuel Injector Control Module Connectors
    • Fuel Injector Connectors (harness side)

The fuel injector jumper harnesses should be serviced by replacement of the jumper harness.
