This bulletin is being issued to revise the DTC P0094 table in the Engine Controls-6.6L sub-section of the Service Manual. Please replace the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check-Engine Controls?

Attempt to start the engine.

Does the engine start and continue to run?

Is the customer concern also a surging idle?

  1. Start and idle the engine.
  2. Observe the FRP regulator fuel flow with a scan tool.

Does the FRP regulator fuel flow measure more than the specified value?

12,000 mm³

Test the fuel pressure regulator solenoid control circuit between the ECM and the fuel pressure regulator for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Test for an intermittent or poor connection at the ECM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the ECM. Refer to Engine Control Module (ECM) Replacement.

Did you complete the replacement?

  1. Clear the DTCs with a scan tool.
  2. Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records.
