The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment that a label in the glove box indicates their vehicle is not recommended for a Slide-In Camper. For vehicles (C/K 2500 Extended Cab Short Bed) built at Pontiac Assembly Center (E in VIN position # 11) from 8/05/05 thru 3/03/06, there was an error in the label system that allowed some vehicles to receive a "No Slide-In Camper" label, when the vehicle can accommodate a slide-in camper.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If dealer would like to receive a re-calculated truck camper load information label for vehicles built during this time frame, please follow the normal label reordering process outlined P&P Manual, Article 3.2. Fill out the Consumer Information Label (CIL) Replacement Request Form and fax to (586) 575-3186
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
