EFFECTIVE START OF PRODUCTION 1981, A CHANGE WAS INTEGRATED INTO THE CLARK 390 AND 397V SERIES TRANSMISSIONS. THIRD AND FOURTH GEAR/ MAINSHAFT INTERFACE NOW RELIES ON NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING SETS REPLACING THE FORMER BUSHED DESIGN.
