SEATBELT ASSY. DAMAGES DOOR TRIM PANEL (REPLACE WITH NEW)

SOME OF THE SUBJECT VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A FULL WIDTH BENCH SEAT MAY EXPERIENCE SEAT BELT BUCKLE ASSEMBLIES WHICH FOUL ON THE DOOR OPENING AND MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE DOOR TRIM PANEL, SEAT COVER AND/OR DOOR OPENING.

TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, A NEW SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN RELEASED IN PRODUCTION INCORPORATING A RETAINER THAT HOLDS THE BELT/BUCKLE IN THE PROPER POSITION WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED.

REDESIGNED SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES WERE RELEASED AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVE WITH THE FOLLOWING VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS:

GMC - 1GDM7D1B0JV505203 CHEVROLET - 1GBG6P1A2JV105306

SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES WITH THIS FEATURE (AVAILABLE IN BLACK ONLY) CAN BE INSTALLED IN EARLIER MODEL YEAR VEHICLES BY ORDERING PARTS LISTED BELOW:
