SOME OF THE SUBJECT VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A FULL WIDTH BENCH SEAT MAY EXPERIENCE SEAT BELT BUCKLE ASSEMBLIES WHICH FOUL ON THE DOOR OPENING AND MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE DOOR TRIM PANEL, SEAT COVER AND/OR DOOR OPENING.
TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, A NEW SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN RELEASED IN PRODUCTION INCORPORATING A RETAINER THAT HOLDS THE BELT/BUCKLE IN THE PROPER POSITION WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED.
REDESIGNED SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES WERE RELEASED AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVE WITH THE FOLLOWING VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS:
