FORWARD/TILTMASTER LUBRICANTS (REVISION TO LUBE SPEC.)

MODELS: 1986-87 W-4 FORWARD/TILTMASTER

Page OB-14 in the W-4 section of the 1986-87 W-Series Service Manual lists incorrect lube specifications for manual transmissions and rear axles. The correct specifications are as follows:

MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS - SF ENGINE OIL

o SAE 5W-30 below 32 degrees C (90 degrees F).

o SAE 40 above 32 degrees C (90 degrees F).

REAR AXLE - GL-5 GEAR OIL

o SAE 80W below 10 degrees C (50 degrees F) consistently.

o SAE 90 18-32 degrees C (65-90 degrees F) consistently.

o SAE 140W above 10 degrees C (50 degrees F) consistently.
