Condition
Some drivers may comment on a improper fit/appearance between the cab and the front fender extensions.
Correction
Revised front fender extensions has been developed to correct this condition. These revised fender extensions feature a reinforcing rib that will allow the top of the fender extension to maintain a more consistent shape. Replace the fender extensions on affected vehicles. Use the service procedure and part numbers listed below.
- Remove the fender extension to bracket bolts, the nuts, and the washers.
- Remove the fender extension.
- Install the new fender extension.
- Install the fender extension to bracket bolts, the washers, and the nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
