Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 239513 Size: SH

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Important: Ensure that the MAF sensor flow arrows point away from the air cleaner assembly.

  1. Install the MAF sensor into the air intake ducts.
  2. Tighten the clamps on the MAF sensor.
  3. Tighten
Tighten the clamps to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  4. Install the bolts that secure the front air filter housing tabs (3).

  5. Object Number: 712012 Size: SH
  6. Connect the MAF sensor (5) harness connector.
  7. Start the engine and inspect for air leaks.
