Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 71686  Size: SH
  1. In order to gain access to the drive belt, remove the engine coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement.
  2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.

  3. Object Number: 177620  Size: SH
  4. Install a 3/8 inch drive wrench on the drive belt tensioner arm and rotate the drive belt tensioner arm counterclockwise.
  5. Remove the drive belt.
  6. Slowly release the tension on the drive belt tensioner arm.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 43858  Size: SH
  1. Route the drive belt over all the pulleys except the drive belt tensioner arm.

  2. Object Number: 43859  Size: SH
  3. Observe drive belt routing for vehicles with air conditioning.

  4. Object Number: 341279  Size: SH
  5. Install a 3/8 inch drive wrench on the drive belt tensioner arm and rotate the drive belt tensioner arm counterclockwise.
  6. Install the drive belt over the drive belt tensioner arm pulley.
  7. Slowly release the tension on the drive belt tensioner arm.
  8. Confirm that the drive belt is properly routed.
  9. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
  10. Install the engine coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement.
