Removal Procedure
- In order to gain access to the drive belt,
remove the engine coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement.
- Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
in Engine Controls.
- Install a 3/8 inch drive wrench
on the drive belt tensioner arm and rotate the drive belt tensioner arm counterclockwise.
- Remove the drive belt.
- Slowly release the tension on the drive belt tensioner arm.
Installation Procedure
- Route the drive belt over all the pulleys
except the drive belt tensioner arm.
- Observe drive belt routing for vehicles
with air conditioning.
- Install a 3/8 inch drive wrench on the
drive belt tensioner arm and rotate the drive belt tensioner arm counterclockwise.
- Install the drive belt over the drive belt tensioner arm pulley.
- Slowly release the tension on the drive belt tensioner arm.
- Confirm that the drive belt is properly routed.
- Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
in Engine Controls.
- Install the engine coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery
Reservoir Replacement.
