J 5825-A Crankshaft Gear Remover


    Object Number: 69450  Size: SH
  1. Remove the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring.

  2. Object Number: 341357  Size: SH
  3. Check the camshaft timing chain free play.
  4. If the camshaft timing chain can be moved in excess of 11 mm (0.43 in), replacement of the camshaft timing chain and the sprockets is recommended during assembly.

    2.1. Rotate the camshaft sprocket (1) counterclockwise until all slack is removed from the camshaft timing chain (2).
    2.2. Measure the free play on the slack side (3) of the camshaft timing chain.

  5. Remove the camshaft sprocket bolts.
  6. Remove the camshaft sprocket.
  7. Remove the camshaft timing chain.

  8. Object Number: 11506  Size: SH
  9. Remove the crankshaft sprocket using the J 5825-A .

  10. Object Number: 182847  Size: SH
  11. Remove the crankshaft balancer woodruff keys, if required.

  6. Remove the camshaft sprocket.
  7. Remove the camshaft timing chain.

  8. Object Number: 11506  Size: SH
  9. Remove the crankshaft sprocket using the J 5825-A .

  10. Object Number: 182847  Size: SH
  11. Remove the woodruff keys (crankshaft balancer) (if required).
