- Be sure that the drain valves on the air tanks are closed.
- Start the engine.
- Observe the air pressure gauge(s).
- The air pressure should rise to the appropriate level (at least
100 psi) and remain steady.
- Check all the fittings, the hoses and the components of the air
system for leaks.

5.2. | Apply soapy water to the fittings and watch for bubbles if unsure
about possible air leaks when checking with your fingers. |
