For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Be sure that the drain valves on the air tanks are closed.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Observe the air pressure gauge(s).
  4. The air pressure should rise to the appropriate level (at least 100 psi) and remain steady.
  5. Check all the fittings, the hoses and the components of the air system for leaks.
  6. 5.1. Use your finger to feel for air leaks.
    5.2. Apply soapy water to the fittings and watch for bubbles if unsure about possible air leaks when checking with your fingers.
