Operational Check
- Start the engine. Charge the system to the governor cut-out point.
- Have an assistant apply and release the brake pedal several times.
- Verify that a spurt of air occurs at the exhaust port.
- Replace the valve if there is no air at the exhaust port.
Leakage Test
- Release the brake pedal.
- Cover the exhaust port and the seams with a soap solution.
- Replace the valve if excessive leakage occurs.
