Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 32130  Size: SH
  1. Block the vehicle's wheels.
  2. Drain the air reservoirs. Refer to Draining Reservoirs .
  3. Disconnect the air line from the valve.
  4. Remove the valve.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 32130  Size: SH
  1. Install the valve.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the valve to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Connect the air line.
  4. Start the engine. Build up air pressure.
  5. Check for leaks in the air system.
  6. Exhaust the air pressure from the rear brake system compartment below 620 kPa (90 psi). Check when the valve shuts off air to the front brake system compartment.
  7. Build up system air pressure.
  8. Check the brake operation.
  9. Remove the wheel blocks.
