Battery Tray Replacement Dual Battery

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the batteries from the vehicle. Refer to Battery Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 188854  Size: SH
  3. Remove the battery tray bolts.
  4. Remove the battery trays from the vehicle.
  5. Remove the battery hold-down retainer bolts.
  6. Remove the batteries from both trays.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 188854  Size: SH
  1. Install both battery trays to the vehicle.
  2. Install the batteries to the trays. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install both battery hold-down retainer bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten both bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  6. Install the battery tray to the vehicle.
  7. Install the bolts to the battery tray.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  9. Install the battery cables. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement .

Battery Tray Replacement Single Battery

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the negative battery terminal. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the positive battery cable from the positive battery terminal. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement .
  3. Remove the battery from the vehicle. Refer to Battery Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 188851  Size: SH
  5. Remove the battery tray bolts.
  6. Remove the battery tray from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery to the vehicle.
  2. Install the battery to the tray. Refer to Battery Replacement .
