Removal Procedure

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Disconnect the crankcase vent tube from the rear intermediate duct.

  4. Object Number: 235020  Size: SH
  5. Remove the rear intermediate duct.

  6. Object Number: 235028  Size: SH
  7. Remove the air cleaner duct adapter.

  8. Object Number: 235034  Size: SH
  9. Remove the air cleaner duct bracket clamp bolt.

  10. Object Number: 235015  Size: SH
  11. Disconnect the MAF sensor harness connector.

  12. Object Number: 235031  Size: SH
  13. Remove the front intermediate duct.

  14. Object Number: 235008  Size: SH
  15. Loosen the air cleaner to MAF sensor clamp and remove the MAF sensor.

  16. Object Number: 235017  Size: SH
  17. Disconnect the IAT sensor harness connector.
  18. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.

Installation Procedure

Important: Check the air cleaner duct components for proper alignment when installing the air cleaner duct components. Leave all of the clamps loose until all of the components are properly aligned, then tighten the clamps.

  1. Install the air cleaner duct adapter to the throttle body.

  2. Object Number: 235034  Size: SH
  3. Install the intermediate duct, the bracket clamp and the bolt to the bracket.

  4. Object Number: 235020  Size: SH
  5. Install the rear intermediate duct.

  6. Object Number: 235019  Size: SH
  7. Install the crankcase vent tube to the rear intermediate duct.

  8. Object Number: 235031  Size: SH
  9. Install the front intermediate duct.

  10. Object Number: 235017  Size: SH
  11. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner assembly.
  12. Install the IAT sensor harness connector.

  13. Object Number: 235008  Size: SH
  14. Install the clamps and the MAF sensor to the front intermediate duct and to the air cleaner outlet duct.

  15. Object Number: 235015  Size: SH
  16. Install the MAF sensor harness connector.
  17. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  18. Align ducts and tighten all clamps
  19. Tighten
    Tighten all clamps to 4N·m (35 lb. in.)

  20. Connect the negative battery cable.
