Cold Advance Solenoid Replacement MFI

1. Remove the engine cover (refer to Engine Cover removal).
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remover the governor cover (refer to Governor Cover Seal Replacement).
4. Remove the terminal contact nut.
5. Remove the solenoid.

1. Install the solenoid into the governor cover and making sure the plunger is centered so it will contact the check ball in the fitting.
2. Install the washers and terminal contact nuts on the studs.

Tighten
Tighten the contact nut to 1 N·m (9 Ibs. in.).

Important: Check the solenoid operation prior to installing the pump cover by using a 12 volt power source.

3. Install the governor cover (refer to Governor Cover Installation).
4. Install the air cleaner assembly (refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Installation)
5. Install the engine cover (refer to Engine Cover Installation).
