The P32/42 chassis may be equipped with an optional factory air conditioning system. This system is an expansion valve type of system. Most of the air conditioning components on the P32/42 vehicles are common between the 2 vehicles. However, the manufacturer of the body installs some of the components. The 1998 P32/42 service manual only provides information on those components that were installed on the vehicle at the General Motors Detroit Assembly Plant.
