The air conditioning (A/C) system emits odors primarily at start-up in hot, humid climates. This odor may result from the following conditions:
| • | Debris in the heater/evaporator case |
| • | Mold growth on the evaporator core |
In order to address this condition, a service kit is available through GMSPO.
A single application of the deodorizer, GM P/N 12370470, removes odor from the A/C system. However, installation of a delayed blower control module is recommended in order to prevent the odor from returning. Refer to the supplied installation instructions.
