  1. Turn the ignition ON.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Let the engine run until it reaches operating temperature.
  4. Check the solenoid for 12 volts.

Are 12 volts present at the solenoid?

  1. Check the electrical connections.
  2. Compare the vehicle to the wiring diagram in order to ensure correct routing.
  3. Repair or replace any connections or wires that are incorrect, damaged or defective.

  1. Check the thermal switch for proper operation. It should close at 10 ° above normal operating temperature.
  2. Replace the thermal switch if it closes before the correct temperature.

  2. Look for debris inside the fan shroud.
