Removal Procedure

    Important: Remove the steering wheel before doing any service procedures in this section. Refer to Steering Column Replacement


    Object Number: 30651 Size: SH
  1. Remove the cover assembly and the spring.
  2. Remove the horn contact plate.

  3. Object Number: 30652 Size: SH
  4. Remove the upper and the lower steering column levers.

    5. Object Number: 30654 Size: SH
  5. Remove the horn brush from the service assembly and the column wiring harness.
  6. Remove the turn signal lever by grasping the stalk and pulling straight out of the turn signal switch.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  8. Remove the screws and the turn signal switch.

Installation Procedure

    NOTICE: Ensure that all fasteners are securely seated before tightening to the specified torque value. Failure to do so may result in component damage or steering column malfunction.

  1. Install the turn signal switch onto the service assembly.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the turn signal switch.
  3. Attach the turn signal lever to the turn signal switch.
  4. Install the horn brush assembly to the column wiring harness and service assembly.

    5. Object Number: 30652 Size: SH
  5. Remove the upper and the lower steering column covers.

    6. Object Number: 30651 Size: SH
  6. Remove the horn contact plate over the upper shaft.
  7. Remove the spring and the cover assembly.
