Important: Thoroughly study the information under Handling Refrigerant, Handling Refrigerant Lines and Fittings, and Maintaining Chemical Stability, before opening refrigerant lines or components. Carefully follow the instructions in the Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling, Adding Oil, Evacuating and Recharging Procedures for the unit being serviced.

Install new GM-approved service replacement air conditioning o-ring seals whenever a joint or a fitting is installed. Do not provide new seals when the seals are provided with new parts. Leakage of refrigerant R-134a may occur if the incorrect seals are used. Match the part number to the number on the seal.

Coat air conditioning o-ring seals with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil before installation. Slip the seals onto the flange in order to insure proper locating and sealing. Do not soak the seals in refrigerant oil. Soaking the seals in refrigerant oil causes damage. Examine the seals for damage or deformation before installation. Replace damaged seals in order to prevent leakage.
