Turbocharger Noise

Possible Cause

Correction

Restriction and/or air leak in the compressor inlet duct and/or outlet duct

Inspect the compressor inlet/outlet duct. Remove any restrictions. Tighten the connections and/or replace any damaged duct work.

Rotating components of the turbocharger are out of balance

Replace the turbocharger.

Compressor and/or turbine wheel is contacting the housing

Locate the reason for the damage and replace the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger.
