Rear Brake Hose Replacement Left Side

Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Always use double-walled steel brake pipe. . .[EDIT: check S/T Truck sio-id=448]


    Object Number: 30781  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the hose from the tee connector.
  2. Disconnect the other end of the hose from the brake caliper.
  3. Remove the hose.

Installation Procedure

Do not twist the hose or allow it to contact any suspension components after installation.

  1. Connect the hose to the brake caliper.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the hose fitting to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  3. Connect the other end of the hose to the tee fitting.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the hose fitting to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  5. Bleed the brakes. Refer to Bleeding the Brake Hydraulic System.

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the steel pipe at the bracket.
  2. Remove the retainer.
  3. Disconnect the hose.

Installation Procedure

Do not twist the hose or allow it to contact any suspension components after installation.

  1. Connect the hose to the brake caliper.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the hose fitting to 23 N·m (17 ft lb).

  3. Install the retainer.
  4. Connect the steel pipe at the bracket.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the pipe fitting to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  6. Bleed the brakes. Refer to Bleeding the Brake Hydraulic System.

Rear Brake Hose Replacement Pipe to Tee

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the steel pipe at the bracket.
  2. Remove the retainer.
  3. Disconnect the hose.

Installation Procedure

  6. Bleed the brakes. Refer to Bleeding the Brake Hydraulic System.
