For 1990-2009 cars only
- Follow these instructions when replacing or reinstalling a hose.
- Route the hoses in the same way they were before removal.
- Route the hoses smoothly. Avoid sharp bends and kinking.
- Tighten the pump end hose fitting, the gear line fitting and the booster line fitting. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications.
- After the hoses are installed, check for leaks while the system is being bled. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System.
Notice: Do not start the engine with any power steering hose disconnected. This can cause damage to the components.
