SHIFT LEVER RATTLE OR BUZZ IN 1ST OR 2ND GEAR

BULLETIN COVERS:

A 1986 C/K Truck or a 1987 R/V Truck with a 117mm manual transmission may have a shift lever rattle or buzz condition in lst and 2nd gear. . NOTE: Figure I Transmission Identification Information.

SERVICE ACTION:

The rattle/buzz can be repaired by using a 1985 or prior Model Year shift lever assembly.

SERVICE NOTES:

Only chrome plated shift lever assemblies are available for service. These are completely interchangeable with the original equipment black painted shift levers.
