Service VME - Less Than Optimal Ride and Handling

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Some customers of early built 2003 model year 1500 HD crew cabs with Quadrasteer option ( NYS ) may comment about less than optimal ride and handling ( frame beaming / vehicle shake, vibration ) characteristics. The 1500HD crew cabs built prior to 9/16/02 with the quadrasteer option (NYS ) may have been built without the new, improved #3 solid body mount. From a service standpoint, dealers can replace the "voided " # 3 body mount ( P/N 15059114 ) and the lower retainer ( P/N 15158599 ) with the new 75 solid # 3 body mount ( P/N 15095732 ) and lower retainer P/N 15528953.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
