The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some owners may comment of the headliner sagging, being able to see the edge of the headliner, or a gap at the extended cab door opening area.

Recommendation/Instructions:

To correct this concern install new door weather-strips part number 15860833 left and 15860834 right. These new weather strips have a lip which will over lap the headliner to cover any gaps.

The weather strip will be slightly longer and may need to be cut to the proper length after it has been installed, see pictures below.

The lip on the weather strip will over lap along the complete length of the headliner front to rear.

Along the rest of the door opening the lip of the weather-strip will be behind the plastic trim. In some cases, the plastic trim will butt against the stepped edge of the weather-strip, see pictures below.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
