The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Tow/Haul indicator inoperative in the instrument panel cluster. Vehicle must be equipped with RPO - 5G8.
Recommendation/Instructions:
To disable the constant on tow/haul feature and make it selectable on the above listed vehicles, reprogram the TCM using tis2web. Select a calibration that matches your vehicle, only select a calibration that states WITHOUT 5G8 option.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
