The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some customers may report that after ending an OnStar® call, the audio volume on the radio may play too loud for a few seconds then drop to the normal level again. This concern only occurs if the radio is tuned to a XM™ band before making or receiving a call on the OnStar® system.
Engineering has determined that this is a normal condition at this time. No repairs should be attempted.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
