The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Technicians may find that dtc P2114 is not listed in SI. In most cases, this dtc is being displayed because the Tech 2 has not been built correctly for a PHT vehicle. The Tech 2 needs to be used in conjunction with the Candi Module.
Recommendation/Instructions:
When building the Tech 2, use the following path:
Diagnostics
Model Year
LD Trk, MPV, Incomplete
Chevrolet Truck or GMC Truck
"C" or "K"
Powertrain
Alternative Fuels (Very Important)
(T) 5.3L V8 LM7 Parallel Hybrid
Once the Tech 2 is built correct, recheck for DTC's. The correct DTC's will now be listed.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
